Momofuku's Cornflake Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Cookies

I recently seen this on pinterest and I just need it now. Of course it's almost 4:30 am so not like right now, now but in my life as soon as possible now. You can find the recipe for this here. I am also gonna post it on here but if you click the link they have pictures of the process.

Makes 15-20 large cookies
Ingredients:
  • 2 sticks (equals 1 cup or 16 tbsp. or 8 oz.) unsalted butter, room temperature (Must be full fat! Don't try to substitute here)
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 3 cups Cornflake Crunch
  • 2/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
Preparation:
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes. Scrape down sides of the bowl with a spatula.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract and beat 7-8 minutes.
  • On low speed, mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined (1 minute max.). Don't step away from the machine/over-mix!
  • Scrape down sides and, still on low speed, paddle in the cornflake crunch and chocolate chips until just incorporated (30-45 seconds), then stir in the marshmallows as well.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Measure 1/3 cup portions of dough (using a 2 oz. ice cream/cookie scoop) onto the pan. Pat tops of dough mounds flat. Wrap the pan tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 1 week. (Do not bake at room temperature!
  • When ready to bake, preheat oven to 375 degrees and arrange the chilled dough onto parchment/siplat lined baking sheet(s) at least 4 in. apart.
  • Bake about 18 minutes, until browned around the edges and beginning to brown in the center. Cookies will puff, crackle, and spread. If they seem pale and doughy on the surface, leave in the oven for about 1 more minute.
  • Cool cookies completely on pan before moving them to a plate or an airtight container. At room temperature, cookies will keep fresh for 5 days-in the freezer, they will keep for 1 month.

Donna Hay: Classic Lemon Cheesecake.

I love Donna Hay. I love the magazine. I love the recipes. I love the website. I am going to share with you this recipe: Classic Lemon Cheesecake. It's going to be the next one I try. It looks so good and I would almost bet that mine will turn out looking nothing like this perfect one. Seriously I can get the taste down but not the looks when it comes to making stuff. I try to make it look pretty then I mess it up or do too much. This is pretty basic however.

Here is the recipe:

Now I have copy and pasted this exactly from the website here so it should be golden. Let me know if you have done this one before and how it turned out.

Mini Styles

There are so many things out there for kids that are just adorable. Sometimes I find myself thinking does that come in adult size? or why didn't they make cool toys like that when I was little...Can you imagine what toys and clothes we'll have for kiddos 20 years from now?
I have 2 little girls. One is about to be 3 and the other is gonna be 2 later in the year. I always said I hope I have girls because there is way more cute girl stuff then boys. I got my wish but I was wrong about girls having the best. There are so many cute adorable outfits for boys and toys too. I am just glad that I have family and friends with boys so I get to buy the adorable boy stuff too :)

Here are some cute kids outfits I have recently came across. Seriously some of these are just beyond wonderful.

This one you can find here: bonbonkids.

I love this so much. All the colors and prints. Jeez. Actually everything that I have found on e-annika.com is super adorable. It might just have to get it's own post in the future. Check it out if you haven't already http://www.e-annika.com/.

Noa wears shirt by United Colors of Benetton, suspenders by H&M, home-made bow tie, trousers by Polarn O. Pyret, and leather shoes by ZaraFashion spread by RAWR Magazine.
I love this so much. I found this one here and you should give it a look cause there are plenty more adorable styles that Noa is wearing.

These two dresses are mishalulu and I love em. I spotted them on babble and then on Pinterest so they have been popping up. These dresses are from the 2011 line but they are still just as adorable now as they were then.

I have a whole pinterest board devoted to bambino styles so you should expect more posts like these in the future :)

Artist: Camille Rose Garcia.

I am going to share with you some artwork from my favorite artist Camille Rose Garcia.

It was about 8 years ago when I first discovered her artwork in a Juxtapoz magazine while on a road trip. Actually it was my first time looking at surreal art that was current. I was blown away by her work and by the work of others whom are still favorites of mine today. I am sure that over time I will introduce to you the work of those artist, but right now it's Camille Rose Garcia's turn. Here are just a few of her amazing artworks:

Her work is so colorful and amazing. Here is her website http://www.camillerosegarcia.com/

She has a couple books for sale on Amazon. I have a couple of them and they all have wonderful artwork and stories inside. She has illustrated a Snow White and an Alice In Wonderland book. She also has an exhibition coming up at the Walt Disney Family Museum on view from May 9 to November 3, 2013, the exhibition features some 40 works by Garcia alongside seven Alice in Wonderland concept paintings by Disney artist Mary Blair from the Museum’s collection.

Mary Blair artwork will have it's own post one day soon. I am a huge fan of Mary Blair artwork. I'd love to hear who some of your favorite artist are. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and I love checking out new art.

Once again you can check out everything Camille Rose Garcia here on her website.

Modcloth 4 Favs: Dresses.

Modcloth.com
Yep. I too love Modcloth. If I ever win the lottery it's going to be like Modcloth won the lottery and I am serious. I love that shop. I am sure you have probably heard of it by now but if you have no idea what I am talking about then please visit the link. Seriously you will not be sorry. I visited today to check out the dresses under new arrivals. I found some that I absolutely love and I wanted to share them with you.

The first one I think is prefect for a nice summer BBQ. I loved it as soon as I saw it. When I saw it was a Bernie Dexter dress I knew why. Love her stuff. She is worth a check out to if you haven't came across her or her designs. Ok back to the perfect summer BBQ dress.
It's even appropriately named Dressed To Grill Dress. You'll find it here.

The next one I really loved was one I can see wearing any summer day. I don't feel like you'd need a special occasion to wear this dress. I also think it would be a easy one to accessorize with.

This one is called The Praire Important Date Dress. And you can find it here. It would also be lovely for a date ;)

The third one that I fell for was The Sailboat Showcase Dress. I love the design and the print of the dress. I can see wearing this one to the baseball games or any other fun outdoor activity on a nice summer day.
You can find this one here.

I am stopping at four but really there are like 100 dresses I love on Modcloth.. This fourth and final one I will share is one that I think would be a perfect wear on one of my favorite holidays. The Fourth of July!! Here is the Worth A Tricolor Dress.
This one is cute, simple and representing America's colors. It would be a prefect little Fourth of July dress and you can scoop it up here.

There are plenty more gems on Modcloth. I had to stop myself or else this would be a 40 favorite dress post instead of just four. Don't worry I will be posting more favs from the shop. I can see a Modcloth handbags and housewares post in the near future. Check it out you guys.
